Nasha Mukt Samaj

Project Overview
India’s youth and communities are increasingly vulnerable to substance abuse due to peer pressure, lack of awareness, unemployment, and easy availability of narcotics. Recognizing this urgent need, Safe Hands Rehabilitation Society launches “Nasha Mukt Samaj”, a comprehensive drug de-addiction and prevention initiative focusing on:
- Awareness & Prevention in Schools and Colleges
- Community-Based Rehabilitation Support
- Individual & Family Counseling
- Supportive Aftercare and Reintegration
We aim to address both prevention and recovery, with a mix of education, therapy, outreach, and reintegration support, particularly in Punjab, Haryana, and North India where the crisis is acute.
Objectives
- Create drug-free campuses and localities through sustained awareness
- Provide accessible counselling and rehab referral to addicts and their families
- Offer psychosocial support through certified counsellors and psychologists
- Engage community influencers, youth, teachers, and religious leaders in prevention
- Establish a volunteer & peer educator network for continuous outreach Shape

- Village/street awareness rallies
- Nukkad nataks, film screenings & public helpline displays
- Door-to-door sensitization by trained volunteers
- Engagement with panchayats, ASHA workers, youth groups
School & College Awareness Drives
- Interactive sessions on substance abuse & mental health

- Life skills & peer pressure management workshops
- Say No to Drugs” pledges & awareness wall campaigns
Helpline, Volunteer Training & Aftercare
- 24x7 tele-support & WhatsApp counselling
- Volunteer training in basic substance abuse response
- Monthly follow-up, check-ins and support groups for recovering individuals
- Collaboration with government schemes (IRCA, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, etc.)
Rehabilitation & Counselling Services
- In-house counseling support through psychologists & therapists
- Referral to registered de-addiction and mental health centres
- Family therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention plans
- Reintegration support: skill-building + job mapping

- Reach 1,00,000+ students through campus sessions
- Cover 500+ villages and urban slums in targeted districts
- Provide counselling to 10,000+ individuals and families
- Refer 1,000+ persons to certified rehab centres
- Train 1,000 peer educators and volunteers
